Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
1. Design database in top-down (ER-Model to normalize table) and bottom-up (normalization process – ER- Model) approach.
2. Implement relational database using DBMS.
3. Program using basic SQL.

This course introduces students to the theory and concept of Database Management. At the same time, they will practice the theory by using a particular database management tool such as Microsoft SQL Server, mySQL, Oracle or MS Access. This will enhance students understanding in database environment, its design, implementation and application.
