CSB10603 - SUSTAINABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGY
Course Synopsis:
This course is designed with aimed at providing students with the information on solid and scheduled waste management practices nationally. The topics covers key element of integrated waste management including waste characterization, collection, recycling, composting, energy recovery, treatment and disposal. Concepts such as waste prevention, circular economy and crade2cradle will also be discussed in the course, which strategies will assist them as future technologist in pollution prevention and resource conservation.
Course Learning Outcomes:
1. Discuss the relationship between waste management, resource recovery, circular economy, and policy in terms of attaining sustainability from a technical standpoint (C5, PLO3).
2. Develop a waste management system that cover policy, identication, notification, issues and technopreneurship (A4, PLO7).
3. Demonstrate effectively technical and social information related to waste management (A3, PLO9)
