JFB32703 - CORROSION ENGINEERING
Synopsis
This course prepares students with the knowledge of corrosion engineering. It is necessary for students to understand the basic principles of corrosion analysis in identifying failures, troubleshooting and propose improvement relates to materials and corrosion in facilities engineering.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the subject, students should be able to:
1. Classify the corrosion behavior and electrochemical fundamentals systems.
2. Measures the effect of metal alloy and environment towards failures in induced corrosions.
3. Perform the corrosion protection techniques in order to limit corrosion of metals and control preventing methods of corrosion.
4. Demonstrate the awareness and necessity to greening the built environment.
