JCB12003 - PHYSICS PRINCIPLE WITH APPLICATION
This course is discussed scientific information
presented in verbal, mathematical or graphical form and to translate such
information from one from to another. In general, the quest of Physics is to
develop descriptions of the natural world that correspond to actual
observation. Physics Principle with Application provides students with a
contemporary and coherent understanding of various Physics principles that are
explained through vector (Newtonian) methods, energy methods, and momentum
methods. The fluid behaviors are discussed by considering Bernoulli, Archimedes
and Pascal Laws. The real application of the laws and principles are
well-described.
JCB12104 - INTRODUCTION TO INSTRUMENTATION AND PROCESS CONTROL
Synopsis
This course will introduce students to the instrumentation and process control, general concepts and terminology of measurement systems, static and dynamic characteristics, errors, standards and calibration. This course also will introduce students to principle, construction and design of various active and passive transducers, semiconductor sensors and its applications. This course also provides instruction in the fundamental concepts of pressure, level, flow, temperature, and analyticals.
Process and instrumentation diagrams will be introduced with the discussion of the structure of control loops, control action (P, PI, PD, PID) and the different control strategies employed in the process industry such as feedback control, feed-forward control, ratio control, cascade control, etc.JCB12204 - COMPUTER PROGRAMMING
This course is introductory programming course. You will learn basic concepts of programming using C++ and MATLAB. This course will introduce the essential ideas of C++ and MATLAB programming and the breadth of discipline of computing. This under-graduate level course commences with the basic constructs and syntax of the C++ and MATLAB language. We will study fundamentals of language in details. We will also cover few advanced features which includes Classes, Functions, and etc.
JCB12304 - ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Electric and electronics is at the heart of most
modern industries, activities and communications systems. Students will be able
to work in a very wide variety of disciplines. These include areas such as radio
and television, sound recording, the electricity supply and telephone systems.
Many other industries rely on electronics, computing and IT such as banking and
manufacturing companies producing a wide variety of products. With
very good facilities for laboratory and practical work students will be able to
reinforce the theories and practices learnt in the classroom via 'hands on'
experience.
