EIB20103 - BUSINESS ETHICS AND CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
This course focuses on the importance of ethics and corporate governance for the sustainability of a business. Students are also exposed to emerging issues in the corporate governance in various countries around the world to enable them to describe the mechanism used in corporate governance. Students build a repertoire of knowledge of the theories of ethics and corporate governance and how they should and could be applied in various business situations.
EIB20403 - ORGANISATIONAL BEHAVIOUR
This course deals with the behavioral aspects of individuals in an organization. It examines the human factor in management, managing individuals, interpersonal relationships and teams. Special attention is given to the organizational change in leadership. The Organizational Behaviour course begins with the study of individual characteristics such as needs, motives, behavioral style and attitudes. The course the moves on to group dynamics such as norms, status hierarchies and social influence. Important areas of study include values and ethics of both managers and the firm and managing change and innovation. The topics focus on how forces at the individual, group and organizational level combine to help or hinder organizational effectiveness.
