This subject introduces the fundamentals of metallurgy, focusing on the types, structures, and properties of metals and alloys, especially steels. It covers both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, and how alloying affects metal properties.
Students learn about modern alloy production methods, solidification processes, and the use of melting furnaces. The subject also includes mechanical and non-destructive testing techniques to evaluate material strength and durability.
Heat treatment processes such as annealing, normalizing, hardening, and tempering are explored, along with phase diagrams and transformations in steels. Practical experiments support the theory by allowing students to test hardness, tensile strength, microstructures, and the effects of heat treatment on steel.
Overall, the course provides essential knowledge and skills for understanding and working with metals in engineering and manufacturing.

This course introduces students to the Spanish language at a beginner's level (part of Spanish level A1.1 according to CEFR). Students are taught to use very basic grammatical functions, everyday expressions and phrases to meet their immediate needs in relation to self and family.

This course aims to introduce you to the French language at the beginner’s level. You will learn the basic grammatical structures to help you to acquire the basic oral and written communication skills.
Throughout the course, you will not only find lessons, activities , games and extra resources on the language, you will also be given the opportunities to participate actively and idea sharing with your fellow course mates that will be an added-value to your learning experience.

Since this course is the continuation of Introduction to French 1,kindly ensure that you have completed the course : Introduction to French 1 before joining this course. If not, you might not be able to understand a lot of things.
In this course, we will still learn the basics to French Language ; you will learn how to write and speak basic French ; the same as in French 1 but the topics would be different.
