This subject introduces students to the fundamental practices and techniques involved in fabrication work. Emphasis is placed on the correct and safe use of modern engineering tools and equipment including measuring tools, hand tools, power tools, and static machines. Students will also develop an understanding of workplace safety, health procedures, and engineering culture in a fabrication environment.

Throughout the course, students will engage in hands-on fabrication tasks and apply engineering management principles to plan, execute, and report on a fabrication project. The subject also focuses on effective documentation through the preparation of a technical report.

  1. Apply appropriate techniques using modern engineering tools in fabrication processes. (A2, PLO5)
