This course will focus on policy and planning as a process and set of techniques for sustainable development at all levels of tourism planning. It examines the environmental, social, cultural and political realities of tourism/leisure planning and policy making. Public and private sector roles are evaluated, as well as the nature, parameters and constraints attached to the sustainable tourism destination development and management.
