This course introduces the end-to-end production process of 3D animation grounded in established animation principles. Students learn industry-relevant workflows and tools—including 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, camera setup, animation, and rendering—across the pre-production, production, and post-production stages. Emphasis is placed on creative storytelling, technical problem-solving, and the application of animation principles using industry-standard 3D software to prepare students for real-world animation environments. By the end of the course, students produce a short-animated sequence that demonstrates their mastery of the 3D animation pipeline and their ability to integrate both technical and creative skills.
