Regarding Mathematics 1 course, this course will cover the concepts and the knowledge of sequences and series, matrices, vectors, polynomial functions, transcendental functions and trigonometric functions. It emphasizes on developing students' mathematical competencies in quite a broad area of mathematics to prepare them for adjusting to Korean universities. The main method of delivery combines lecture, tutorial and drill with activities to generate interest.
At the end of the course the students will be able to:
CLO1 - Perform sequence and series formula in solving numerical problems. (C2, PLO1)
CLO2 - Apply the properties of functions related to mathematical problems. (C3, PLO2)
CLO3 - Solve the mathematical problems in matrices and vectors. (C3, PLO2)
