On completion of the course, students should be able to:
1. Operate the CNC machine according the type of machine operation.
2. Create the CNC program base on the drawing, tool and machine parameter.
3. Prepare and transfer the CNC program from the source file to the CNC unit of the machine.
4. Draw up a machining procedure by defining required tools, devices and parameters regarding to the drawing given.
5. Selection of tools and cutting parameters required to perform different operations on a machine.
6. Set the cutting tools and workpiece before execute the program.
7. Perform start up of the equipment following the specified sequence given in the instruction manual and adopt the necessary protection measures to guarantee personal and machine safety.
8. Describe safety elements (protections, alarms, emergency exits,...) of the machines, and of the (starting, stopping,...) systems and clothing (footwear, eye protection, clothing,...) which must used during machining operations.
9. Use all data input devices (notebook or networking) to transfer a CNC program into the machine.

· Described the important safety awareness in using welding equipment based on safety procedure (P1, PLO8)
· Perform welding technique by using SMAW machine, TIG machine and MIG machine according to drawing given. (P3, PLO5)
· Act effectively in group while performing welding process (A5, PLO6)
