The Machine Tool Technology (FGB20303) is a continuous course to enhance the previous workshop practices which include operation of machine tools and their advance processes.
This courses is a discipline courses category for the Mechanical Manufacturing section.
Teaching and learning will be via lecture, discussion, demonstration and practical sessions. Students will also be required to do their own self-study either through guided drawing or worksheet.
Assessment will be on assignment, reports and practical evaluation for conventional lathe and milling tasks, as well practical test and project. Students’ performance during the experiments will be assessed (practical scheme). Students are required to do peer evaluation of their team members. Participation in group project is included as part of their evaluation. Thus assessment is continuous throughout the semester.
